It started like a dream — a still, small voice of inspiration. And then, sheet after sheet of paper, sentence after sentence, Maadiah Johnson has come to be the youngest published author in this part of the world with ‘clawed to death’ selling on Amazon.
June 24, 2021 was a lot larger than we had anticipated: the lengths and widths of Jesus Saves School, Uyo Nigeria, was blown away when Queen Maadiah Johnson launched her Pro girl child project, “Raise Them Queens.”
The initiative is a call to all arms of society, a reorientation campaign as it concerns raising the girl child, to completely toss rape, abuse, violence, servitude and child labour into the figurative Mediterranean Sea. When the girl child is accepted as a queen, she’s honoured, respected and won’t be molested nor abused.
Two days later, on June 26, in company with Uyo Book Club, the Johnsons and with standing ovation from seasoned men, women, children, and a former governor and serving Senator His Excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, the book “Clawed to Death” was launched.
This is a step for the 16-year-old Queen Maadiah Johnson, but a mile for the girl child and every youngster in Nigeria and around the world who lives, dreams, and hopes for the light.
